Nic Ingram Honored as Midwest PGA Golf Professional of the Year

Blue Springs, Mo. – November 4 – Nic Ingram, in his 15th year as a PGA golf professional, has been named the recipient of the 2023 Midwest PGA Golf Professional of the Year Award during the Midwest Annual Meeting.  This award is the highest annual honor bestowed by the Midwest PGA on a PGA Professional.

Elected to membership in February of 2008, Nic has proven over the years that he is a pillar at his club, to his chapter and to the Section.  Ingram has spent the last 10 years at the National Golf Club of Kansas City working as head professional until being promoted to Director of Golf in 2016.  He is known to lead fellow golf professionals by empowering his team members, leading by example and providing support to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to succeed.

Nic believes the best way to inspire fellow golf professionals is through upholding the professional brand, sharing experiences and being a mentor to others. He stated that it is critical to solidify your brand image as it helps establish credibility within the golf industry.

Ingram currently serves on the Board of Directors as the Missouri at Large Director.  He also serves on the Executive Board of the Bigley Interclub.  The recipient of the Merchandiser of the Year (Private) in 2017 and the Patriot Award in 2021, Ingram is no stranger to being recognized for his commitment to excellence.

During the Annual Meeting Awards Presentation, the following 2023 Midwest Special Awards were also announced:

Patriot Award – Mike Ricket, Indian Hills Country Club, Mission Hills, Ks.

Deacon Palmer Award – Dale Fisher, Nixa, Mo.

Merchandiser of the Year Private – Kyle Capps, Hallbrook Country Club, Leawood, Ks.
