Become a Midwest Junior Tour Member Today!

The Midwest PGA Junior Tour (MWJT), formerly known as the Southwest Missouri Junior Golf Association (SMJGA), was founded in 2002 by a group of PGA Professionals and held together by Alan Cummins at Horton Smith Golf Course, Springfield, MO. The SMJGA operated successfully for over twenty years before it merged with the Midwest PGA in 2025 to form the Midwest PGA Junior Tour.

MWJT now serves as an umbrella organization for all junior programs managed by the Midwest PGA and PGA REACH Midwest. PGA REACH Midwest, the 501(c)(3) charitable foundation of the Midwest PGA, is dedicated to positively impacting youth, military personnel, and diverse communities by expanding access to the Midwest PGA, its professionals, and the game of golf.

MWJT Membership

Junior golfers must be members of the Midwest Junior Tour to participate in events.

The Midwest Junior Tour membership fee is $65.00 and is good for the calendar year. Membership benefits are outlined below.

Age Eligibility

Boys and girls ages 7 and up, through the summer following their high school graduation, are eligible to join.

Midwest Junior Tour Membership Benefits

  • Access to the area junior tournament schedule and registration
  • Consideration for The Invitational Championship and Player of the Year awards
  • Midwest Junior Tour bag tag
  • Select events include tee gifts
  • Player profile and statistics through the Midwest Junior Tour BlueGolf console
  • Access to the Midwest Junior Tour app (free in the app store)

All membership dues are paid annually and are non-refundable. Junior golfers must be registered and have paid membership dues before registering for tournaments or events.

A golfer’s age as of July 1 of the season determines their age division for the entire summer and their applicable membership dues.

Age Division Policy:
Any junior golfer may elect to play up an age division but may never play down. If a player chooses to play up, they must remain in that older division for that event and will only earn points in the division in which they compete. After the event, the player may return to their original age division for subsequent events.
