FREE GOLF CLUBS AT ‘CLUBS FOR KIDS’ DAY AT TWIN OAKS AUGUST 3RD
Free clubs, free lessons and free play. It’s all part of this year’s “Clubs for Kids Day” to be held Saturday, August 3rd.
Sponsored by PING and the Midwest Section of the PGA Foundation, the event will be held at the Twin Oaks Golf Complex at 1326 E. 1900th Road just off K-10 in Eudora. “We’re hoping to give away 500 new Ping golf clubs and introduce golf to 100’s of kids,” says Jeff Burey, PGA, co-owner and manager of Twin Oaks.
In addition to receiving free clubs, kids will be able to play either of Twin Oaks’ two courses and receive instruction from three of the Midwest Section’s leading PGA players and instructors – Robert Russell, the 2018 Section Player of the Year; Rob Wilkin, a multiple Player of the Year; and 35-year PGA professional Jay Lispi. The schedule of events:
1 p.m. – Registration and free golf on the “Red Bridge Wee Links” and/or “Wakarusa Pitch and Putt” course. Also, bidding will begin on a silent auction of golf memorabilia, equipment and apparel.
2 p.m. – Midwest PGA Golf Clinic featuring Robert Russell, Rob Wilkin and Jay Lispi.
3 p.m. – Distribution of Ping and other golf clubs.
4 p.m. – Silent Auction winners.
